About Kate

Kate McCurdy headshot

Kate is an attorney in Rochester, NY who has practiced locally in the areas of Trusts & Estates, and Elder Law for the past 5 years. She grew up in the Pittsford/Brighton area, went to Allendale Columbia School, and now works just around the corner.

Kate earned her B.A. from Williams College, and J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she served as the managing editor of the Virginia Journal of Law of Social Policy. Since graduation, she has practiced law in medium and small private firms. She started her solo law practice in the middle of the pandemic, since she recognized an explosion in demand for virtual legal services. While she still prefers “face-time,” she is excited to be in a position where she can adapt quickly to client desires and needs for secure, online services.

She currently lives in Rush, New York with her dog and cat. When she is not practicing law, she is volunteering in the community, spending time with her family and friends or snuggling with her dog.

Daniele is the Executive Legal Assistant at Kate McCurdy, PLLC, where she plays an integral role in supporting the firm’s estate planning and administration practice. She works closely with the attorney to prepare legal documents related to estate planning, estate administration, trusts, and guardianships, while also managing day-to-day operations, including client communication, scheduling, and file management.

In a role that bridges administrative support and substantive legal assistance, Daniele is often the first point of contact for clients and is committed to ensuring each individual feels informed, supported, and at ease throughout the legal process. Her attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and dedication help keep the firm running smoothly and efficiently.

A lifelong resident of the Finger Lakes region, Daniele values community and family. Outside the office, she spends her time with her husband and two children or on the family farm, where life offers a meaningful contrast to her work in the legal field.
